Books or Ebooks?

So this is my first proper post in 6 months. I admitted it. I have abandoned you guys. I am sorry, I have been really busy. ANYWAY, I am here now, and I am back with a vengeance, because I am pissed off that everyone is buying EBOOKS nowadays. I am currently publishing my novel ‘In the Crosshairs’ in installments on wattpad, and will be releasing it as an Ebook and (hopefully) a physical copy afterwards. I am annoyed about this, because I have always disliked the idea of Ebooks. A book is supposed to be a physical item in my opinion. It always has been, and therefore it always should be, but for some reason even people that love reading are now investing in Kindles because they just prefer the idea. I honestly don’t understand it.

I am here talking to you now via the internet, my fingers are touching keys on a keyboard, and now, you are reading them, all digitally. I don’t even like this idea really, I would much rather hand write it and post it to all of you, and I would if I could, because I don’t like how disposable something is virtually. Right now you are most likely searching through a bunch of posts, looking at something that interests you, clicking on it, seeing if you find the article mildly interesting, if you do, you keep reading, and PERHAPS follow that persons content. If you don’t, without even finishing the article, most likely, or checking out any of that persons other stuff, you click back, and never again will you see that persons content, and never again will you hear what that person has to say. Anything DIGITAL is DISPOSABLE. It is the same with an Ebook. You can download it illegally if you want, read a few pages, if you don’t like it, you click delete. Even if you pay for it the same thing could happen, and usually does, but you feel slightly more inclined to read more of it because you paid for it.

At the end of the day, holding a physical item not only reminds you of the author, and is, in a way, constant promotion for the other, but also is better for your eyes, and also simply LOOKS better. I have never seen the appeal of digital products, and never will.

No More Emos

So a couple of seconds ago I decided to never date an emo again. It goes against everything I stand for. Emo music, like pop, is killing the entire industry. It is pop music with guitars. Remember back when music was serious and half of all music wasn’t taken up by young kids fanboying or girling over people they liked?

Remember when music was good? Sure there are still some good bands in existence  but none in the mainstream. I would say Hozier is the only artist in the chart right now with something today (with the exception of Pink Floyds new album that came out literally yesterday).

The music industry needs to change before it is too late. Metal needs to come back and replace the whole Emo scene. No more stupid annoying little fangirls ruining music and the charts. Record labels more importantly, need to stop advertising bands and music off of there looks. I like Cradle of Filth. I also do like there image, not there looks. I like them because I enjoy there music.

Emos are runing rock. They are ruining the whole image we metalheads have and hold so dear to us. Go back to your pop.

This is just too annoying. We need to make a change. I know there are some emos who like metal and stuff, and genuinely don’t like pop and all that, but don’t go fangirling off of bands looks. Just no. It lets shit bands do well.

AC/DC Drummer Isn’t a Crazy Murderer (Or is he?)

So I am sure the Phil Rudd being charged for procuring murder really helped rocks image of being involved in satanism and all that bizarre shit mainstream people seem to believe. I don’t know if is the same worldwide, but here in the UK mainstream people hate rock music with an extreme passion. It is thought of as being crazy, and you are immediately hated by loads of people if you like even a couple of songs. That is the modern generation for you.

However, it turns out that Phil Rudd actually wasn’t trying to find a hit-man to kill two people. That’s a shame, because it made me think of a whole new side to the song ‘Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap’ by AC/DC, which is about a hit-man.

Now it’s time for me to talk about AC/DC’s ‘Dirty Deeds’ which most people overlook. The band where brought up in a very rough area, to a very  rough upbringing. Over the years they have got into loads of fights. Many of them have been seen taking drugs. Phil Rudd has already been charged with taking marijuana, and possessing it and many other things. What a lot of people don’t know is that a member of AC/DC once held a knife to another mans throat, while on tour. They have done other things as well, however the media always fail to write about them. Whether this is because of paid, or what, I don’t know, however it wouldn’t have failed to surprise me if Phil Rudd had plotted to kill two people.

Spotify Will Be Shut Down August 2015

So time for some news that no one talks about. Spotify currently owes $80 billion. A few days ago, the high court told Spotify this outright. No one mentioned this news of course, because everyone is pushing it aside until the time comes around for it to actually shut. No one believes it, but it is true. Unless Spotify miraculously becomes huge, they will completely cease to exist come next August.

Here at the facts. At the current rate Spotify pays every artist $0.007 for every song that is played. It is supposed to be a lot more, but because of the low amount of money Spotify are making, that is all that is getting paid. So imagine if you are an upcoming American artist and you get 100 plays on one of your songs. You get 7 dollars out of that. 1000 plays? 70 dollars. 10,000 plays? 7 dollars. It only starts becoming decent money if 100,000 people play a song. How much do you make? Still only 70 dollars. A million plays? Wow that is only 700 dollars. So a million people all across the world play your song and you only make 700 dollars. See the problem with Spotify? No one makes any decent money.

Unfortunately, because of this problem, Spotify, unless a miracle happens, will be shut down as of August 2015. It doesn’t help there case though when artists are pulling there music from the site already. Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke took down all of his songs a long time ago because they weren’t paying upcoming artists much. This has since got worse. Also in the last couple of days Taylor Swift has done the same (fair play to her).

So if the hugely successful artists Thom Yorke and Taylor Swift both are doing this, surely this means Spotify should increase the money they are giving artists? Well they can’t because Spotify don’t have enough money! Technically then, these big artists who are pulling there music from Spotify, are actually not helping this get any better. They take music off, then Spotify loses money. Spotify loses money then artists get less money. Actually if they wanted to help the artists they should stay on it, then more money will be paid to the smaller bands.

Basically, Spotify is going down, and in about 9 months the company will cease to exist. I hope you are all ready to go back to pirating music.

Keira Knightley Poses Topless

So a few days ago a magazine came out with a real, unedited photo of Keira Knightley showing her breasts. Yes, all you crazy perverted men out there, it actually really happened.

What she did was a statement. A statement about how much photos are edited to make people look different to real life. She said that she would pose topless, if the photo was in no way edited, or manipulated, or had an effects added onto it at all. It was to stand up against all of the false imagery in the world.

I must say however, looking at the photograph, the photo isn’t perfect, no, but it also is edited slightly. The image is black and white, which immediately takes out some of her ‘imperfections’ . You will not be able to see if, for example, she had a rash, has marks on her skin. You can’t really see anything like that.

I think the main thing she was aiming for was to tell people ‘No I don’t have big boobs. I am me, I was born this way, I don’t care.’. It is very bold for her to stand up and say this, and it makes me rank her alongside Emma Watson in this years list of people who have stood up for themselves, and women. They have also helped try and make people realize how corrupt, and terrible our society is.

In this world, we encourage women to become super skinny. We make people anorexic. We make people not feel comfortable with themselves because of there weight, breast or penis size, hair, tattoos, face, legs, waist, hips, literally everything is criticized in this world. There is no perfect person. Everyone is unique, and individual. People need to realise this, and stop acting pathetic.

We are who we are. Be proud of yourself.

What Attracts People to Parties?

So, today’s topic is discussing why people really need to party. It isn’t compulsory. We usually end up having a hangover, and it sure as hell isn’t to relax because you always dance loads or fuck (or be fucked) and this ends in you being tired so why do people enjoy it? (Of course I am referring to the parties of about 15-25 year olds, not adult or elderly parties)

Well first of all the atmosphere is generally seen as being nice. Everyone is acting like a prick, not giving a damn what anyone thinks  (unintentional rhyme) and overall everyone seems happy. Even though in reality everyone is merely pushing the weight of there life, and problems to one side until the next day.

There is also the idea of a ‘no rules’ place. You can (and probably will) break stuff. You can swear, shout, dance, fuck, get drunk, and do almost anything that you want, without much worry, and everything I just mentioned happens at almost every party as well, so it is like guaranteed freedom whenever you go there.

The final good side to parties is the social side of it. For a lonely low-life like myself, a party is a big deal. I never get invited to parties, and I really wish I could go to one. For me it would be a great opportunity to meet people, and, as I said, push all of my problems to one side just for a few hours. However, would I live a life always going to parties? No! Is what I have explained in this article really enough to draw people to a lifestyle of partying? I don’t see why. Are We Real? (Ponder the Mystery)

So, The Matrix covers todays topic pretty well, and was indeed an inspiration for it, so if you haven’t seen it, then you really should watch it. It is down as one of the greatest films of all time so you are missing out! In the film, the idea is that the world we live in isn’t real. It is all a simulation to prevent is from knowing and understanding the horrors of the real world.

My question today is quite simple. What if that is reality? We already know, and it is quite obvious that there is a lot that we don’t know. The government hides loads from us because they fear our response to the truth. This isn’t just my theory, it is the truth. There are leaked official documents on the internet of UFO sightings by the government, which they refused to make public, confirming the sightings of UFOs, and there are other leaked documents about other things.

I am not some crazy conspiracy theorist, and this is the first time I have mentioned anything relating to cover-ups on my blog (I think) but “The Truth Is Out There, Skully”. Anyway, enough of the science-fiction mumbo jumbo, that has nothing to do with todays topic. My question to all of you, and I want your honest opinions. Have you ever though that maybe what we are living isn’t actually the real world? I know I have. What is it that powers life?

If you don’t believe in God, like me, then I am sure you spend a lot of time Pondering the Mystery of life. It is absurd that everything we can do, and have seen is possible, and it all at some point came from nothing, so the idea, that this isn’t reality, and we are merely dreaming, or we are living some kind of simulation makes a lot of sense.What definitive proof is there that this life we live is real? No one really knows. In my opinion, there isn’t enough of an explanation as to how mankind came about, and how life itself began. The human race is, and has always, been in the dark. We don’t know how life started. We don’t know what powers us, and what makes us alive. We will never know. This is why I am scared, and yet also excited to die. When I do, I will find out the truth. Or will I? What if after death there is just rot, and decay? No one knows. This is why I am just as scared as I am excited.

Even if you are religious, I am sure there is some part of you that is still nervous. Religion is not based on facts, it is based on belief. This is why I am an atheist. As soon as a religion exists with 100% proof that it is the truth, I will convert to it. Until that day, I am going to continue Pondering the Mystery.

Blue seeps though this blackness

Women Shouldn’t Have To Wear Makeup

So I am sort of a feminist. I mean, I have never thought about it until over the last few days, but I believe in equal rights, I believe in equal pay, equal opportunities, so how am I not a feminist? I also know I gained a good few of my followers from my previous posts about women, and how they are degraded in everyday life, so I thought I would continue the trend with todays post about why women should not have to wear makeup.

Women are forced to wear makeup in todays society. It is literally compulsory. If you don’t you are seen as ugly by most other women and men. It is just how the world works. It shouldn’t be this way, but it is. Society has engrained this idea of the ‘perfect’ women with her hourglass figure, highlighted features, and perfect skin. This isn’t the perfect women. Why? Because there is no perfect woman. In fact, what is seen by society to be the perfect woman is perhaps as far from perfect as you can get.

Let’s think. To achieve and maintain this ‘perfect’ image you need to starve yourself most of the time, or binge eat. You need to draw around or on your face with a pen for no real good reason, you need to add color to your skin, again for no reason, and finally you need to burn your hair into a style seen as attractive using straighteners or curlers.

What on earth made people think that is attractive? Whoever invented makeup is stupid. When I went on my first date with my current girlfriend I actually said to her ‘don’t wear makeup because I want to see your natural beauty’. Of course, she refused, but she refused because she doesn’t want the judgemental eyes of society thinking she is unattractive when in actual fact, if you have the guts to go out of your house with no makeup on, that means you have confidence in your natural beauty, and you don’t need to go out in a mask of makeup.

So ladies, why not go out with no makeup on, and show people yourself? And men, why not appreciate your girlfriends real looks, instead of her fake looks? If you tell a girl she is beautiful with no makeup on, I think that is one of thr biggest compliments you can give a girl.
